Mister shop guy gets a name!


I recently noticed that every time I need a background character man, around the age of thirty, I give him a redneck accent and Garret's personality.
It's just Garret's the first one that gets an actual character design.
When I told my sister this, she said that I should name every background character around this age, Garret, after this guy.
...Sad thing is, I might actually do it.


Also, the 'Kafei doesn't like kids' thing is a reference to the Majora's Mask manga.
In it, Kafei is coming home late one night from the Milk Bar and he comes across Skull Kid.
He tells Skull Kid to get lost, and Skull Kid turns him into a kid.
I thought this was a very likely scenario, but I decided to expand upon it with Kafei disliking kids in general.
Then when Kafei becomes a kid, he'll realize how much it sucks to be a kid (and how much he was a jerk), and after the whole experience, he won't dislike kids as much and have many children with Anju.
...That is, after he transforms back into an adult.

Though the "Mom and Dad are talking about mushy stuff" line is my favourite in this entire comic, I think Garret's "long game of cards" line is my second favourite.
