Should I...?

Alternate titles include Mermaid Floozy or "Come on, guppy, just let me get in your fins~"

Well, this is what I've been working on in the past month or two.
I drew this on one of my summer trips, and quite liked it, so I coloured it.

But, apart from the bazillions of nitpicking I did on this picture, my favourite part of this picture is their faces and body language.
I won't say anything because it'll ruin the fun of interpretation, but I will say that if you think about who these people merpeople are, you can literally tell a whole story even if your answers are just based on pure assumption.
So, when looking at this picture, ask yourself a few questions:
Who are these people merpeople?
How and where did they grow up?
How long have they known each other?
What is their relationship?
Is their relationship healthy?
What are they thinking (apart from the title and alternate titles)?
