Raikou by Cherry-sama Raikou by Cherry-sama
I hate Raikou.
He's is the only legendary Pokemon I've never gotten in both Gold and Crystal.
I have Entei, Suicune, HO-OH, Lugia, a level 100 Chikarita, a Lapras that could faint level 40s at level 10, a Dragoniar that's a pwnsome Elemental Master.
I've gotten 777 on the slots in the Casino twice in a row, a level 71 Ditto, and over 300 hours of gameplay.
And I still haven't gotten that bloody Pokemon!
The only reason I have a Haunter is because it knows a move that can prevent Raikou from fleeing.
But then, Raikou uses ROAR.
Haunter was a Gastly when I first caught him.
Level 5.
I trained him to level 60, instead of staying at 40, like he was suppost to.
And since my lowest level Pokemon on my party is my level 45 Lapros, I can't weaken him so I can catch him.
I even have come with flawless method so I can encounter Raikou more often.
I have Ultra Balls, Fast Balls, Level Balls, Love Balls, and others yet I can't catch that bloody thing!

You know that circle in the map at Jouto (sp?)?
Yeah, I call that 'The Loop' and I circle is back and forth in order to encounter Raikou and I often clear it in a couple of minutes.
AND STILL RAIKOU RUNS AWAY!
If I could do all of the things above, I would.
And he would still get away.

Oh, and that level 71 Ditto?
Yeah, I kept him in the Daycare so I could get Poke Eggs and certain baby Pokemon.
But one day the eggs stopped coming.
So, I caught another Ditto and did a swap.
I did 'The Loop' once and there was my new egg.
I was going to release the old Ditto because he wasn't useful anymore, but then I saw that he was level 71.
He started at level 10 when I first caught him.
Yeah.

Anti-Prior Device is breif Stargate reference.
Leaves these Psyhic guys temporarily immobile.
Used on Raikou, against Teleport.

...I think my entire Poke party right now is male.
Even my trainer.
I am female.
WTC?

I know how you feel, i had the same thing with latios in ruby...i even put the thing to sleep and it STILL FLED OAO! I dont even know hiow that sodding thing can flee while sleeping but it does! The only way i found that works is keeping the pokedex in check every time you change the route. Then when you are in the same route as raikou save and start the encounter. If you fail to catch it restart the game and do that as often as it takes (took me bloody 10 times in my krystal >_> And i still have to find entei >.<)

I accidentally killed entei and suicune in soulsilver so now I'm going after raikou, and now I'm worried he (or she?) might know self destruct...

Just toss a fast ball at it during the start of a encounter.
